Article Retraction and Correction Policy
The Publisher considers materials published in scientific journals as the "Published Version". In cases where the scientific content of a published article is compromised, editorial boards may decide to issue a correction or a retraction. Editors should consider retractions, corrections, or expressions of concern in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines. A decision to publish a correction, rather than a retraction, should be made if it is deemed the most appropriate course of action to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record. Articles containing fabricated, falsified, or non-evidence-based data must be retracted.
To ensure transparency, all retractions and corrections must be clearly marked and accessible on the journal’s official website. Each change must include an explanation of the reason and the date of publication of the correction or retraction.
The Publisher encourages journal editorial boards to consider retraction in the following cases:
- Identified violations of research ethics and/or academic integrity, including but not limited to false claims of authorship, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, duplicate publication, or other unethical practices;
- Detection of significant errors (e.g., miscalculations or experimental mistakes);
- Notification from the authors regarding discovered errors (e.g., due to faulty equipment, etc.).
In the event of a retraction, the Publisher will make reasonable efforts to inform the academic community in order to ensure proper communication of the article’s status change.
