Abstract

This article comprehensively explores the role, structural elements, and specific financial and non-financial impacts of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on the long-term competitiveness of e-commerce enterprises. In the era of total digitalization, market saturation, and the rapid unification of online services, traditional tools of market competition-such as aggressive pricing strategy and standard marketing channels-gradually lose their primary efficiency. Instead, they give way to intangible assets, among which the brand's reputational capital and ethical positioning play a decisive role. Utilizing a methodological framework based on systemic, comparative, structural, and statistical analysis, the study investigates the strategic transformation of modern business models in the digital ecosystem. The research clearly identifies and structures the key CSR mechanisms and tools currently utilized in contemporary online retail, focusing specifically on green logistics, cause-related marketing, eco-friendly packaging, and digital ethics, including data privacy protection. Based on the deep analysis of extensive international analytical data and empirical financial metrics, the direct economic efficiency of strategic social investments is substantiated. The paper establishes a concrete mathematical correlation within the industry: every 1% of additional planned expenditure on targeted CSR projects generates an average 0.3% increase in total sales volume, primarily driven by enhanced customer loyalty and increased lifetime value. At present, implementing socially responsible initiatives within the electronic commerce sector is proven to be not merely a temporary marketing trend, but a fundamental prerequisite for strategic survival, sustainable differentiation, and market leadership in a dynamic, highly volatile competitive environment.
