Abstract

The relevance of the research topic is обусловлена contemporary transformational processes in Ukraine’s economy under conditions of European integration, digitalization, and intensifying global competition. In this context, the importance of intangible assets is growing, among which business reputation acquires the status of a key factor in ensuring competitiveness and sustainable development. The European economic environment imposes higher requirements for transparency, accountability, adherence to sustainable development principles, and effective corporate governance, necessitating the adaptation of Ukrainian enterprises to new business standards.

The paper generalizes scientific approaches to the interpretation of business reputation as an integral characteristic of enterprise activity formed on the basis of stakeholder perception and determining the level of trust in business. It is substantiated that business reputation is a complex, multi-level economic category reflecting the interaction of internal and external factors of enterprise development. It is formed under the influence of economic, managerial, social, communication, and digital components, whose coherence ensures the integrity of the enterprise’s reputational profile.

It is proved that business reputation acts as a strategic intangible asset that creates long-term competitive advantages, strengthens trust among investors, partners, and consumers, reduces transaction risks, and facilitates access to international markets. Particular attention is paid to its role as a tool for integrating Ukrainian enterprises into the European economic space.

The study finds that digitalization and the implementation of ESG approaches transform reputation management mechanisms, increasing requirements for transparency, communication activity, and adaptability of enterprises. The results confirm the systemic nature of business reputation formation as a key factor of competitiveness and integration capacity in the context of European integration.
