The article analyses the current state of hotel enterprises and their adaptability to inclusive services. It is established that inclusive tourism in Ukraine is not well developed. The primary reason for this is the gaps in the design of infrastructure and accommodation facilities. It has been revealed that even when inclusive rooms are provided, most hotel enterprises are not fully prepared to create a barrier-free environment for people with special needs. This is largely due to shortcomings in building design. In the past, the comfort and convenience of persons with disabilities were not given sufficient attention. As a result, many buildings currently occupied by hotel enterprises are unsuitable for accommodating guests with limited mobility. This highlights the urgent need to develop design and organizational solutions aimed at reconstructing accommodation facilities with consideration for inclusivity requirements, as well as planning new facilities that take inclusivity into account from the outset and ensure the creation of a barrier-free environment for people with disabilities.
The paper presents design solutions for organizing inclusive services in accommodation facilities. The proposed solutions concern the lobby area, as this part of hotel infrastructure has been identified as having the most significant issues related to inclusive tourism. The solutions presented in the study make it possible to create a barrier-free environment for people with musculoskeletal disorders and visual impairments. In addition, the paper proposes organizational measures that simplify the check-in process and enhance the hotel experience for guests with visual and hearing impairments.
